As part of a nationwide fundraising event to raise money for Together for Short Lives, a charity which raises money for Hospices treating terminally ill children, Morrisons were carrying out a Butterfly Trail across the county. The butterfly marked the start of fundraising at each store, and a handover to the next like a relay race.
Having recently supported the scheme at a fundraising event Sammi reached out and asked if we could help with the transport of the Butterfly to the next store.
A request was put out for volunteers, which was swiftly answered. Our crew logged on early and made their way to Morrisons in Lincoln where they were greeted by Sammi and of course, the precious cargo.
The butterfly was safely loaded into our car and the crew set off on the 50 minute journey to Grantham, where the crew were met by a number of staff.
The butterfly was safely handed over, marking the start of the next fundraiser in Grantham.
Our crew then logged on and completed a shift before retiring for the evening answering a number of emergency calls.
